And anyone can cast 0 level spells.<br />When I'm using wizards and priests I feel free to lend them divine, magic meant or discipline based abilities. And, Hell, if the players can get into the right position they could get some of those abilities, too (time and non-contradiction permitting). The caveat being that you lose that spell slot in exchange. So, instead of a light spell lasting a few seconds, you trade that first level spell slot for the ability to generate light whenever you like.
