In the introduction to the published module, Gygax says, "I laid out the tournament from old “Greyhawk Castle” campaign material involving a spaceship". So S3 might be a good source of ideas for OD&D robots/androids/cyborgs etc.Zenopus Archiveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14069501995927451558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-80171911497588964312014-05-13T23:18:17.781-04:002014-05-13T23:18:17.781-04:00First Fantasy Campaign has a few lines about robot...First Fantasy Campaign has a few lines about robots. I wonder if comics were a source of these for Gygax? He mentions the old EC Comics in Appendix N.Zenopus Archiveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14069501995927451558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-46935389470475234992014-05-13T22:47:23.463-04:002014-05-13T22:47:23.463-04:00Try not to think about it too hard. Either the players will balk and it can be a weird one-off mystery, or they will take to it and you can do the Blackmoor thing.

The great thing about winding the world up, dangling some plots, and letting it rip is that the referee can enjoy the unexpected unfolding of events along with the rest of the players.
