Coming back from the Underworld, PC might not be "changed" , but they are seen as such by normal people. porphyre77https://www.blogger.com/profile/07620350717226228078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-62320136771477192602015-10-17T19:57:25.723-04:002015-10-17T19:57:25.723-04:00I'd like to recommend two books by a South Afr...I'd like to recommend two books by a South African author, S. L. Grey, set in (and under) Johannesburg.

In "The Mall" a couple of teenagers try to escape from a huge shopping mall after becoming locked in when it closes. They find themselves travelling further and further underground through service corridors and storage areas, and as they do so, things become more and more disturbing . . . "New Girl", about the employees of a private elementary school and their reaction to an odd looking new pupil, is the third book in this series, but it was the one I read first, and I think maybe it is better to read it before reading "The Mall". It's weird.

The second book in this series, "The Ward", is set in a hospital. I didn't find it as inspiring as the other two. And I haven't read S. L. Grey's most recent novel, "Under Ground" - I think it's a murder mystery set in a nuclear bunker, so it's probably lacking the weird vibe of the other books. But do check out either "New Girl" or "The Mall.Akiyamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01002160797943960637noreply@blogger.com
