The mage summoned a tentacled monster, which could impregnate on a successful attack, or turn people to stone. The mage lost control, and it didn't want to be there so left, taking my cleric with it. My cleric was effectively hentai'd out of the campaign (and this quickly led to a TPK).

I stress that that Summon was randomly rolled, but I'd be hesitant to ever see the Summon spell used again!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-28547470956207677712016-02-20T13:14:54.745-05:002016-02-20T13:14:54.745-05:00I'm planning on running some old school TSR mo...I'm planning on running some old school TSR modules using LotFP. And yes, it'd all fun and games until someone casts Summon.Brett Slocumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09240226222507995367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-63947064962435058652015-11-29T17:25:06.122-05:002015-11-29T17:25:06.122-05:00One wonders how Death Frost Doom would play in B/X...One wonders how Death Frost Doom would play in B/X.Alcamtarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17306363847212311336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-29369563611667056692015-11-22T20:27:16.299-05:002015-11-22T20:27:16.299-05:00I think some of Swords & Wizardry's rules ...I think some of Swords & Wizardry's rules improve on OD&D (single-category saving throws and, yes, ascending AC) but I dislike the system for generating treasure. When stocking dungeons, I always reach for a couple of six-siders and my Moldvay book, partly for the reason you mention and also because it's so much faster without all the tedious mucking about with "trade-outs".ClawCarverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07236809815213343281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-28476323541757230562015-11-22T07:44:16.498-05:002015-11-22T07:44:16.498-05:00Another great post Wayne!Another great post Wayne!DHBoggshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02170439175265397893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-70785798311834747792015-11-20T12:57:59.069-05:002015-11-20T12:57:59.069-05:00Awesome observations!Awesome observations!Brunohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01448568062628550613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377543525075660166.post-46592492434782037872015-11-20T12:57:45.770-05:002015-11-20T12:57:45.770-05:00Awesome observations!Awesome observations!Brunohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01448568062628550613noreply@blogger.com
